Vegetable Growers
Most of the vegetable production takes place in 'Venlo' style greenhouses for optimum climate control. Typically these greenhouses do have hot water heating systems, drip irrigation systems, CO2 systems and curtain systems for energy saving and improved climate conditions. All these systems are controlled by a sophisticated climate control computer. Prins Greenhouses looks after the complete projects from the first design to the final testing of all the systems.

Flower and Potted Plant Growers
Our greenhouses are used for a wide variation of flowers. The interior of the greenhouse is custom designed, based on the type of flowers, the customer is planning to grow. Many greenhouses have lift systems, for the heating in combination with the wire netting for the plants. The system is lifted with the growth of the crop. Other greenhouses are designed with container transportation systems, to reach a maximum of labor savings. The containers move automatically through the greenhouse, and when work on the plants need to be done the containers move to the workstations. Also the use of rolling benches is very common. Rolling benches do reduce the number of paths drastically, resulting in increased growing space. Most flower greenhouses are executed with curtain systems to provide shade in the summer and energy saving in the winter and with HPS lights for a higher yield in the winter.

Nurseries
The Max-Air greenhouse is specially developed for crops, that need to be hardened off to the outdoors after being started in the greenhouse. This greenhouse provides the same type of protection to the plant as a Venlo greenhouse or a widespan greenhouse, but when the proper time comes, the entire roof is opened, by just turning a switch. The computer still monitors the conditions and the roof is closed again within a few minutes, when the conditions require so. Prins Greenhouses takes care of the ebb- and flood floors, used in many greenhouses with nursery stock. Ebb-and flood floors provide even irrigation condition throughout the greenhouse.

Research and Education Facilities
Prins Greenhouses has been involved in the design and construction of many research and educational greenhouses. A wide variety of options is available for these greenhouses depending on the purpose of the greenhouse. What all these facilities have in common is, that they create many different environments on a small scale. We have the resources, to create the initial concept, make the complete design and build the project, based on the requirements and input from the customer.
